"A camera is a tool for learning how to see without a camera.”
-Dorothea Lange
Happy Wednesday my dear friends! I hope this day finds you in great spirit and health.
My field of dandelions in the yard is slowly changing into a field of dandelion seed heads. My hubby mowed the lawns after Mother's Day was over, but of course they've all come back as dandelions do. Now our lawn is filled with sea of beautiful puff balls and photographer in me cannot just sit and watch without trying to capture the moment. Please click on the picture to see blown up image.
I believe that beauty is all around us as long as we are bothered to look. Somebody looks at the field of dandelion puff balls and says they look ugly. I lower myself to the ground to take a closer look at them and I say they are beautiful.
Mother Nature is the most intricate of all artists. Her work is an amazing combination of beauty and purpose. A tiny dandelion seed, equipped with a delicate parachute breaks away from the base and flies in the wind propagating wide and far. Now, that is art.
Every year when the puff balls form I take my camera and get to work. It doesn't matter how many pictures I already have, I can't help it. They are like a magnet drawing me in with their enticing beauty.
