It is always exciting to open the door and go out
into the garden for the first time on any day.
- Marion Cran

Good morning my dear friends! Second day of the weekend is here and it's just as gorgeous as the first. According to the forecast we can expect summer like temperatures this whole upcoming week with night lows not dipping below 14°C. That is really a music to my ears as I'm transplanting all my seedlings into their permanent locations and wouldn't want night temperatures like what we had this past week. Friday low was only 1°C. Oh, horror.

The best thing about warm late spring nights is that in the morning the temperature is comfortable enough to go outside to the back porch, bask in the early morning sun before it gets too hot, and listen to the birds sing. And oh, do they ever sing.  Especially one of them.  I don't know what bird it is, I can't clearly see it through the tree foliage but it's been singing its little heart out all morning.  It's quite beautiful.

So far I'm on the mark to achieve what I set out to achieve this weekend.  Half of my tomatoes and cucumbers as well as all of the green beans have been transplanted and mulched.  Many big containers with soil are already lined up on the deck ready for the seedlings to be planted which will be done today.  Today the rest of the tomatoes and cucumbers will go in as well as the broccoli, swiss chard and sunflowers.

And now of course, before I start anything I'll make my morning tea and take it to the back porch to drink.  The concert is still going on outside and I don't want to miss much of it.

Namaste
